Cocktail bar in the West End

The cocktail bar "O'Neill's Wardour Street" in London is a vibrant meeting place that presents itself as a traditional Irish pub while offering an impressive selection of cocktails and a rich history. Located in the heart of the West End, the bar is characterized by its versatile atmosphere, which is relaxed during the day and lively in the evening. It is known as the "Home of Live Music" and stands on the historic grounds of the former Flamingo Jazz Club and the culturally significant WAG Club. This past is reflected in the daily live music performed by local bands and artists, often lasting late into the night. Icons such as Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Eric Clapton, the Rolling Stones, and Pink Floyd have performed here, and even the Beatles or Jimi Hendrix were once guests.

The drink offering is a central part of the experience. In addition to a variety of craft beers, popular especially during sports broadcasts, the bar offers a wide range of cocktails. Highlights include signature cocktails mixed with American and Irish whiskeys, as well as classics like a refreshing Mojito or a fruity Pornstar Martini. The drinks are prepared with high-quality ingredients, and the bar ensures that they are both flavorful and visually appealing. For wine lovers, there is a well-curated wine list, and beer enthusiasts can enjoy a selection of British and international lagers, including Amstel. Particularly noteworthy is the dynamic pricing structure, where the costs for certain drinks increase after 10pm to account for increased operating costs, such as additional security personnel.

Traditional Irish pubs in London

Culinary offerings at O'Neill's Wardour Street include solid pub fare with an Irish twist. Favorites include the classic Fish and Chips, where the fish is served in a crispy batter, as well as juicy burgers made with Irish beef. Hearty options like Cottage Pie or Nachos are also available, perfect for a relaxed evening with drinks. For lighter snacks, there are options like Crab Cakes served with a spicy sauce. The portions are generous, and the food is meant to complement the focus on drinks rather than overshadow them. The menu is rounded out by seasonal specials that vary depending on the time of year.

Cocktail specials and pub food

The bar spans three floors, each with its own character. The Ground Floor is a versatile space, ideal for groups or spontaneous visits, while the Flamingo Room on the top floor impresses with a capacity of up to 400 people. This area features its own stage, AV equipment, and a private balcony, making it perfect for events such as birthday parties or corporate functions. The ambiance combines traditional pub elements with modern accents, with exposed brick walls and the historical significance of the building adding a special charm. In good weather, an outdoor area invites guests to linger.

Horrible cloakroom staff, refused to give items back although they mad a mistake in handing out numbers. Rude attitude, shouted at us and after showing them evidence it was our item and only after the manager came did we receive our items back. Some of the worst customer service in all of London

I came in looking for a nice simple pint after having a long day at the office, and I must say that I received very good customer service from one of the bartenders - I think her name was Boma or something like that - unique name it was. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to my friends & family !

Fuimos a comer y la comida no está mal pero tampoco para tirar cohetes. Las hamburguesas lo mejor. Mucha variedad de cervezas y buen ambiente
